Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data needed anti-income inequality for the baby boomer by applying a comparative analysis before and after the baby boomer on results of time sequential factors decomposition of the income inequality per composition group for the baby boomer, and examining them, selected on data of the Korea Welfare Panel Survey(KWPS) merged from 1st year(2006) to 12th year(2017) to have been fulfilled. As a result of analyzing the annual trajectory of the entropy index [GE(0)] within and between the constituent groups, First, the annual trajectory among before the baby boomer showed a continuing decline. Second, the annual trajectory among the baby boomer showed an N-shaped trend which continued to decrease to the bottom in 2011, then rose to the highest point in 2015, and then re-felled. Third, the annual trajectory among after the baby boom showed an M-shaped trend which rose slowly to the highest point in 2011, then fell to the bottom in 2013, then re-rose to the highest point in 2015, and then felled. These results require the need to establish differentiated policies that can mitigate or improve income inequality implemented within and between groups of economically active participants according to age changes when establishing policies related to income inequality. Limitations of this study, and points to consider in future research were discussed.
